Call for Papers

Pakistan Journal of Society, Education and Language (PJSEL) is a Multi-Disciplinary Research Journal. PJSEL is published in English twice a year and is available both online and in print. The journal seeks articles from around the world that examine issues pertaining to society, education and language while drafting papers, authors should consider the readability of their paper for readers outside of their discipline and culture. Pakistan Journal of Society, Education, and Language attract researchers, scholars, teachers and advanced graduate students to submit their manuscripts in the broad areas covered by the journal. The main focus areas of the journal include, Anthropology & Sociology, Behavioral Sciences, Economics, Demography & Gender Studies, Development Studies, Government & Public Policy, Mass Communication, Criminology, Law, Education, as well as Language and Linguistics etc.  PJSEL is a peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by the JEHAN FOUNDATION, a charity organization work for Justice, Education, Health, and Nutrition, and is officed at Batkhila, Malakand District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.

 

Articles appearing in PJSEL analyze issues of society, education and language and how such issues process out interactions, societies, and global and transnational spaces. The journal primarily publishes empirical articles, which are both theoretically engaged and methodologically rigorous, including qualitative, quantitative, and comparative methodologies. The journal also publishes reviews of books from a diverse array of social science disciplines. We offer E-Publication which is a feature offered through our journal platform. It allows PDF version of manuscripts that have been peer reviewed and accepted, to be hosted online prior to their inclusion in a final printed journal. Readers can freely access or cite the article. The accepted papers are published online within one week after the completion of all necessary publishing steps.

 

The PJSEL is freely available online. Our open access policy is aimed to facilitate exchange of knowledge. Authors are required to agree with this open access policy which enables unrestricted access and reuse of all published articles. The articles are published under the Creative Commons copyright license policy CC-BY. Users are allowed to copy and redistribute the material in printed or electronic format and build upon the material, without further permission or fees being required, provided that appropriate credit is given.

PJSEL publishes papers that emphasize research, development and application within the fields of Social Sciences, Education, Language and Linguistics. All manuscripts are pre-reviewed by the editorial review committee.
Contributions must be original, not previously or simultaneously published elsewhere, and are critically reviewed before they are published.
The contribution must be in English with sound grammar and proper terminologies.

The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of the paper, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum 4-6 weeks.

PJSEL is Semiannually/Biannually journal. It publishes two issues per year.

The Journal Impact Factor is currently in the evaluation process with cite factor and JSfactor

The authors retain the copyright of all their work published in PJSEL. All articles published in PJSEL are open access and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License, which means the articles are universally and freely.

If the paper is accepted for publication, author(s) will be asked to pay 27000 PKR as article publication fee in order to defray the operating costs. Waiver policy is applicable to the papers reviewers panel of the journal. The journal is only online as to maintain a document free environment as per HEC guidelines. Article Publication fee will have to be paid after the manuscript has been peer reviewed and accepted for publication. The corresponding author will be responsible for arranging the payments. However, in case of problems in submission fee, the editor may be contacted for facilitation on email editorpjsel@gmail.com

Acceptance letter is provided just after the confirmation of receiving the publication fee from the author(s). It takes maximum 24 hours.
