Previous studies highlighted that Teachers at the secondary level in Sindh, Pakistan, lack subject-specific skills and knowledge, which are essential to employ contemporary English language teaching techniques. The researcher used the concurrent method of research. Closed-ended and open-ended questionnaires were used to collect the data. The majority of the teachers agreed and stressed that many contemporary techniques utilized in English courses are quite efficient in fostering language acquisition. The current study revealed that the students' limited language foundation in English makes it much more difficult for the teacher to deal with the
situation. Furthermore, there is no teacher training for English teachers to learn new techniques to improve students' effectiveness and interest in English language instruction.
