For ages, humour has been used as a tool against oppression. Social media memes have gained
importance with the advent of technology. Memes are a form of communication that uses humour
and satire to spread information. People give their views about political leaders in a satirical
manner. The study aims to show how memes portray Pakistani leaders. This study also shows
how memes manipulate the young generation's political mindset. Sixteen memes are selected
randomly from Tweeter and Instagram as samples for this study (probability sampling), and the
technique used for this sampling is simple random. These memes show how people see political
leaders and how memes change the mindset of people about them (political leaders). The
research methodology adopted for this study is qualitative.
